TOP PLACES TO SEE AND THINGS TO DO IN PATTAYA

Pattaya is a city in Thailand, a very well organized and beautiful one that serves as point for tourist attraction in Thailand. I am sure many of us didn’t take Thailand to be a place where you can have fun and create memories; I want to assure you that it is. If you have never been there, make it one of your goals and visit the city of Pattaya. Pattaya can be found at the eastern part of the Gulf of Thailand which is about 100 kilometers from the southeast of Bangkok.

This city was once a quiet fishing town that had nothing but fish to catch and sell but with time; it has grown into a megacity equipped with lots of beautiful sites and fun activities. Pattaya is popularly known for its beaches, it considered to be the home of one of the best beaches in the world; the Jomtien Beach, which is often compared to the Miami Beach in the United States of America. You will find shopping malls, high-rise condos, cabaret bars, hotels, and clubs flooded around the city making it a lively place all the time. There are lots of beautiful places and locations that one must see in the city of Pattaya that are mind blowing and worth every second of our time. Some of these places are described below, they are;

Sanctuary of Truth

The sanctuary of truth is a very popular place in Pattaya. Believe me this structure is one in a million, it is an amazing sanctuary to a philosophical truth, which speaks about the importance of philosophy, religion and art and the roles they have played in the human development over the years. It also talks about the madness of neglecting morality and spiritual satisfaction in the pursuit of materialistic things. The woods used in the construction of this wonderful structure were all untreated and chemically unprotected; this demonstrates the humility in human endeavor and skill.

Walking Street, South Pattaya

If you get to pass through the Walking Street, you will experience something that is quite unlike anything else in Thailand. Many other towns and cities try to create and claim to have their own walking street, but believe me nothing is as good as the 500 meters of fun available in the wall street of pattaya which is located at the end of Pattaya’s Beach Road. The name walking street comes from the fact that it is closed to vehicle traffic after 18:00, the building on both sides of the road, consists of a nightclub, beer bar, restaurant or go-go bar. All these fun centers come to life at night, to offer great services to people around.

Tiffany Cabaret Show

Tiffany’s Cabaret Show occurs in a grand theatre that turns out to be as beautiful as the costumes been worn by the performers. Performers make their entrances dressed in clothes that range from long sweeping ball-gowns and plumes of feathers, to elaborate headdresses and skimpy polkadot swimwear. This show consists of dance, song or skit; it lasts for up to one hour and entails bollywood musical scenes, traditional Korean fan dance and displays of homage paid to China’s imperial past and progress.

Wat Phra Khao Yai (“Big Buddha Hill”), South Pattaya

The is  the so-called Big Buddha that I am sure many of us must have heard of, it is called Big Buddha because it is the biggest in the region standing at approximately 18 meters in height. It is said to be 100 meters above sea level, this position makes it watch over Pattaya and Jomtien Beaches. The temple that surrounds this amazing golden seated Buddha develops a reflective mood for the many visitors with many bells, burning incense, numerous smaller statues and impressive views in this region.

Buddha Mountain (Khao Chi Chan)

This is probably the largest engraving of Buddha in the world; the gold-embossed image of Buddha was carved out of the side of a limestone mountain with the use of a laser and is estimated to be 130 meters in height and 70 meters in width. This is one of the amazing natural beauties of the world that attracts the attention of tourists a lot; it is positioned in a place known as the Silverlake.

Water Parks

There are lots of water parks in Pattaya and this provides many options for the visitors here. Each park has its own series of entertainment and events that are engaging and worth every bit of your time. The largest water park in Thailand is found in the city of pattaya, the Ramayana water park and Cartoon Network Amazone Water Park is also found here.

Coral Island

In the beautiful city of Pattaya lies the Koh Larn (Larn island), this is also known as the coral Island. This provides you the best view of the cerulean blue sea, this is an amazing view for anyone who wishes to see it. If you move exactly 7.5 kilometers west of the Pattaya Beach, you will find the coral island sitting there awaiting your presence. It is better to visit here in the morning, spend time and then return back to the pattaya beach.

Pattaya Floating Market, Jomtien

Pattaya Floating Market is officially referred to as the “Four Regions Floating Market”, there are different sub-sections of this 100,000sqm development and these sections represent the four major areas of Thailand; the north, northeast, central and south. This development is filled shops, stalls, selling souvenirs, fruits, food, art, handicrafts, postcards and clothing that are being sold to visitors and people of the community. Some of the 114 vendors use boats to sell their commodities by floating on the river.

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, Na Jomtien

Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden is a 2.4sq.kms of land filled with the most remarkable flowers, displays and landscaped gardens that you can find in Thailand, also in the world. It looks like a maze but it is not, the people who designed it have won multiple awards internationally for the design they applied in this structure.
