Biman Bangladesh was founded on 4 January 1972 and it’s main headquarter situated in Kurmitola, Dhaka named ‘Balaka Bhavan’. It is the International Airlines of Bangladesh whose main hub is the International Airport of Dhaka and secondary hub is Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong and Osmani International Airport in Sylhet. It was owned by the government from 23 July 2007 by declaring of being the country’s largest airport which main business is annual hajj flights, carrying materials, transporting tourists, transporting non-resident Bangladeshi workers and migrants, etc. Its services are extended from New York City in the west to Tokyo in the east and it has signed a deal with Boeing for ten new aircraft.
