The Phuket Big Buddha
This huge white statue of Buddha is a very popular landmark in Phuket. It sits at the very top of the Nakkerd Hills and is estimated to be about forty five meters tall, this is quite a height and this makes this statue impossible to miss and also something to see. If you are able to get to the top of the hill, this is the view you will get and as you can see there is a smaller golden Buddha statue beside it. That is also another lovely sight to see. At the feet of the Buddha statue, you will experience extreme silence, little bells and dharma music. It was made from white Burmese marble and when the sun is shining it sparkles a lot.
Wat Chalong Temple
This is a very beautiful and carefully designed temple that has been open to visitors for over a century now. It is the most important temple of Buddha among the 29 other temples that are present in Phuket. This temple was dedicated to Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang, these were two monks who led the fight against the Chinese rebellion in 1876. Trinkets and other ornaments are been sold to visitors who come to the temple and the monks assist in storing their luggage in their main prayer hall.
Phang Nga Bay
If you do not take a visit to Phang Nga Bay, then you have not yet been to Phuket, you just passed by. It is usually said that a total of approximately 40 small islands are been housed by the bay, these islands come directly from the sea. The shrine itself was relocated to its current position due to a fire that nearly damaged it many years ago in its former location.
